24.02.2008 - Last weekend Holway Roger got the 5th place with Excellent at the WT in Klam! Out of 29 dogs only 12 passed so I am very happy with his results. The test was hard but the grounds and the athmosphere were beautiful.
A new puppy has arrived at our house, Diana's Twiggy von Bauernhirschtal, simply called Twiggy. She was bred by Barbara Bachleitner out of her Britta and Birdsgreen Simply Flint! Twiggy is a lovely happy pup and she settled down immediately in her new home. She will be with us for a while for socializing and puppy training. Photos soon!
07.04.2008 - The 2008 Austrian Working Test season started with a beautiful Working Test in Burgenland! The test was very difficult and I was very pleased Roger got the 5th place as only 12 dogs passed the WT out of 38!! Well done, Roger!

28.01.2008 - The NGRA held an open stake (Field Trial) for golden retrievers at Eagle, Lincolnshire. Proud winner was Peter Bates with Birdsgreen Sweet Reward of Castlemans, 2nd was nelson's father Tauvechan Minstrel handled by Mike Knox and 3rd was Holway Volley handled by Robert Atkinson. Simply Flint has again done very well in the Open Field Trial in
Hungary on 19 January. He got the 2nd place with
Excellent, Reserve CAC and Reserve CACIT! Congratulations,

21.12.2007 - It has been a long year ... here some of the latest news of 2007...Duncan has another hunting season under his belt. At the age of 8 he enjoyed each picking up day and helped retrieve lots of hares, phaesans and ducks. He can now lie down by the fire and wait for the WT season to begin ... Roger had a successful 2007 with both dummywork and game. He was a sound hunting companion during my picking up days and learnt to retrieve all kind of game! Well done, Roger!
Little Nelson is now 8
months and he is growing into a kind dog. Very fast and
happy all day he loves retrieveing whatever he can put his mouth
on ... I guess his Holway blood will show soon!

Birdsgreen Simply Flint had
a very successful working season. He has qualified to become
Italian Field Trial Champion. In December he was mated to Britta
von Bauernhirschthal and we are all looking forward to an
excellent litter!

06.11.2007 - Copley of
Graceful Delight (see photo below), Roger and Teazle's
daughter, has passed the JD/R hunting test in Germany with
242 points! Congratulations to Frauke and Copley!!
29.10.2007 - On 27th October Roger got the 3rd
place at the Novice Field Trial in Italy with Excellent and
reserve CAC! It was a beautiful trial with plenty of game
with difficult grounds. Roger (see photos below) and 2 labradors
were singled out as best dogs and were called back in a run-off
at the end of the day when one more drive was organised in the
vineyards
.
28.10.2007 - On 28th October Birdsgreen Simply Flint got the 4th place in the Open Field Trial in Italy after 3 labradors.

- On 9 September Roger made the 7th place at the WT in
Italy in the Intermediate Class. The WT was very difficult,
with very long distances to run on the Toscana hills and 35
degrees' temperature! Roger is now the 2nd best Golden Retriever
in the Italian Cup Results (Intermediate) for 2007 although he
took part in only 3 WTs out of 7! Well done!
Duncan has passed the Open Class in Italy and we are very
proud of his achievements, considered his age and the difficulty
of the WT, the distances and the heat which proved to be the
hardest obstacle for the dogs!
We would
like to introduce you to a new Golden at stud, Birdsgreen Simply
Flint. An outstanding kind dog with a lot of style, speed
and will to please, he is available at stud for appropriate
bitches.

16.08.2007 - Soma and Enska, Roger's and
Pilvi's puppies, are growing up nicely and now weight about
9,5-10 kg. They have wonderful movement, very, very thick coat
and good topline. The breeder says they seem to have a lot of
"will to please" and she is very happy. You´ll find some

Roger's and Teazle's puppies in Germany (see photo below) are now over a year old and have been all hipscored. All
puppies are hips and elbows clear (3 x A2, 1x B1 and the last
one will be known soon). All puppies are working very well and
the owners are very happy!

Roger got the 2nd place in the Working Test in Crocetta del
Montello (I) on 23 June in the M (intermediate) and the 7th
place on 24 June.
13.06.2007 - Our puppy Holway Cinder "Nelson" has got his own site now.
12.06.2007 - On 10 June 2 puppies were born in Finland out of the mating between Roger and Pilvi at the Omskakas Kennels. One is a female and one is a male. Both puppies will remain with the breeder and Pilvi's owner. The puppies are big and healthy and we hope they will develop into good hunting dogs
17.05.2007 - On 30 May a new Holway puppy will arrive at our house! A son of Holway Villa and Tauvechan Minstrel, he is from the latest Holway litter, bred at holway like Roger. More details soon!
25.04.2007 - On 21 April Roger got the 2nd place in the "M" (intermediate) working test in Tata/Hungary and Duncan got the 5th place! Out of 20 dogs, only 6 dogs managed to the end without any "zeros" and 2 goldens! Thank you to the judges and to the Hungarian Labrador Club for the excellent organisation and for the pleasant day!

19.03.2007 - Roger started in the Intermediate (M) for the first time in a Working Test in the Czech Republic and got the 4th place! He was the youngest dog and I was really pleased that he handled the difficult blind retrieves so well!

13.11.2006 - On the night of 13 November Roger has become daddy of 9 healthy puppies again! Cicablu has given birth to 5 dogs and 4 bitches, all healthy and dark in coat. Cicablu is a lovely Italian bitch bred by Mr. Ravagnan and used for hunting. She is of nice temperament and very similar to Roger in coat and looks. One bitch will remain in Italy with the breeder and will be used in the field. For more info click Progeny!
